We are currently accepting applications for part time public safety dispatchers. This requires a person who’s able to gather pertinent information quickly and accurately, and relay that information to other’s in a timely manner. A successful applicant for this position must have the ability to remain calm, even-tempered, dependable and courteous during the many stressful events that may occur. Multi-tasking, good hearing and computer keyboarding skills are also necessary for this position. The communication center is a 24/7 operation, and part time employees are required to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.All qualified applicants will be required to submit to a polygraph or a CVSA examination, criminal and traffic record check and employment background investigation.
The rate of pay is $13.60 per hour and applications can be picked up at the Wayne County Justice Center Monday-Friday 8-3 or online here
