Level 2

Sheriff Thomas G Maurer has upgraded the snow advisory to a Level 2. Roadways are very treacherous.

For a better understanding of the meaning of restricted normal vehicular travel, and emergency road closings, the following guidlines are set by the Sheriff of Wayne County;
■Level 1: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and/or drifting snow. Roadways are hazardous due to freezing rain, or sleet. Drive with caution.
■Level 2: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and/or drifting snow, freezing rain, or sleet and/or ice buildup, possibly covered with snow. Only those who feel it necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. Please contact your employer directly for report to work instructions.
■Level 3: All roadways are closed to normal vehicluar travel, excluding emergency and public safety vehicles. Travel is limited to necessary travel only. All employees should contact their respective employers directly for report to work instructions.
