Will-Burt Makes Donation of Light Tower

Last week we received a donation from Will-Burt that will provide us with a tool to use in a number of situations.

Will-Burt the manufacturer of mast lighting units donated a Night Scan light tower, and provided the installation of it on a truck that we use for emergencies and plowing snow.

Kevin Lenart, a service technician, installed the unit. He fabricated a rack system so the unit could be installed on the bed of the truck instead of on the roof. He also gave Sheriff Hutchinson a brief lesson on how to operate the tower, which extends about 7.5 feet. The mast can rotate on the Y-axis 360 degrees, and the lights rotate 355 degrees on the X-axis.

The light tower can be used to locate missing persons, at crime scenes and during emergency responses. The light will also be available to any agency in need of it.
Sheriff Hutchinson said he was especially proud of the donation because he grew up in Orrville, and his grandfather retired from Will-Burt!
