Over $10,000.00 raised in two weeks for K9

Just two weeks after “kicking off” fundraising efforts to raise money for a new K9, over $10,000, has been donated by local citizens.

“The support for this project has been overwhelming and I am pleased that we are approaching our goal of $15,000 faster than expected. Donations have ranged from $10 to $2000.00 said Sheriff Hutchinson on Monday afternoon.

The sheriff continued and stated that “any size donation to the Sheriff’s K-9 Fund Community Project is welcome, from individuals or businesses, with the goal to raise $15,000 through May. All donations are tax deductible and will be held in a county account earmarked specifically for the K-9 unit”.
