Suspects identified in Saturday night pursuit & arrest

Both suspects suspected of being involved in the theft and pursuit Saturday evening have been located and arrested.

While Kevin Srock was located Saturday, Zachary Dare avoided arrest until Sunday afternoon when he was taken into custody by Montville Police and Deputies from the Medina County Sheirff's Office.
Suspect information:

Zachary Dare age 26 of North Canton Ohio 
Kevin Srock age 26 of Barberton. Ohio.
The men are suspected of breaking into at least 14 storage lockers in East Union Twp. A large amount of property and drugs were recovered from their vehicle. Both men remain in the Wayne County Jail.

Saturday evening Deputies were called to the scene of a breaking and entering at Midway Mini Storage located in East Union Twp. The caller stated that he had observed two men breaking into several of the storage units. The caller confronted the men and there was a brief struggle prior to the men leaving the area in a green Chevy Suburban.





After an alert was broadcast pertaining to the suspect vehicle, a Orrville officer spotted the vehicle and attempted to stop it. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and the vehicle was pursued into Medina County.




The vehicle stopped in the 7300 block of Wadsworth road and the suspect fled into a woods on foot at approximately 6:50 PM.




At 9:55 PM a suspect was located hiding in weeds on River Styx road. That man was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail. The second man remains at large.




Departments/Agencies assisting: Orrville police, Marshallville police., Rittman police, Wadsworth police., Medina County Sheriff's Office., Montville Twp police., Medina police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.




Deputies recovered tools and firearms from the suspect vehicle and continue the investigation.
