Wooster Police Department will be hosting the first annual Bicycle Rodeo at the Wayne County Justice Center Parking Lot, located at 201 W. North Street, Wooster on Saturday, June 9th from 8am – 1pm for local children in 3rd, 4th & 5th grade.
The Bicycle Rodeo, funded by Safe Routes to School National Partnership, is a bicycle safety clinic featuring safety inspections and instructional lessons on the rules of the road taught by Wooster City Police officers. A course will be set up in the parking lot where participants are shown where and how to apply the rules.
Registration is FREE, forms are available at www.woosteroh.com or at the event. Concessions will be available and each participant will receive a FREE bicycle helmet, bicycle lock, event t-shirt, water bottle and lunch.
Four youth sized bicycles will be raffled off to participants, courtesy of Kiwanis Club of Wooster, Ohio & Haudenschild Insurance Agency. The event is sponsored by The City of Wooster Police Department, Recreation Department,Wooster City School District, Frito-Lay, Murr Printing Wooster and Ride On Wooster Bicycles.
