Sgt. Dave Woods retires!

Today marks the retirement of Sergeant Dave Woods after over 25 years of service.

Dave came to the Sheriff’s Office in 1986 after serving as a corrections supervisor at the Orange County Sheriffs Office in Florida.

Dave spent the majority of his time here working in the patrol division working mostly afternoon and midnight shifts.
Early in his career Dave was recognized as having an uncanny ability to discover crimes in progress.

A former officer of the year, Dave was a shift supervisor and training officer for many of our deputies over the years.  During his years with our office Dave resided in the Wooster area with his wife and family. For many years it was common to see Dave jogging on the streets of Wooster with his two hunting dogs at his side.

Join us as we say thank you to Dave Woods. We wish you many years of happy retirement.
